Well, the Emmy nominations were announced today, and I am happy to say that my they must be nominated or there is no justice choices were all given the nod.
So, let's hear it for these truly great performers...
Brad Dourif (Best Supporting Actor In A Drama) as Doc Cochran in Deadwood.
Robin Weigert (Best Supporting Actress In A Drama) as Calamity Jane in Deadwood.
Victor Garber (Best Supporting Actor In A Drama Series) as Jack Bristow in Alias
James Spader (Best Lead Actor In A Drama) as Alan Shore in The Practice.
William Shatner (Best Guest Actor In A Drama) as Denny Crane in The Practice.
Whether they win or lose, at least they were recognized for their quality work.
Besides, we all know that it is an honor just to be nominated.
I was also pleased to see that Angels In America received 21 nominations; it deserves every single one.
The rest of the nominations were no big surprises and, as usual, The Sopranos dominated the field... which is a mystery to me since the show has only been slightly above mediocre since the end of season 3.
