JMS on Trek....

The SciFi channel news reports that J. Michael Straczynski pitched a new Trek series idea to Paramount. What a wonderful thing this could be for Babylon 5 and Trek fans.

"I got together [with Zabel] and wrote a treatment earlier this year that specified how to save [Star Trek] and develop a series that would restore the series in a big way," Straczynski wrote. "I actually think it could be a hell of a show. Whether that ever goes anywhere with Paramount, who knows?"

Of course, Paramount will probably reject the idea and continue on its current path.
What they need to do is replace Berman and Braga with JMS and his collaborator (we can hope).

Another thread from the SciFi News promises that Alias will get back to basics in season 4...

Series creator J.J. Abrams "is talking about getting back to some of the joy that [Sydney Bristow, played by Jennifer Garner,] used to have in her personal life early on ... while still living in this crazy world." The show will reportedly have Sydney balancing her spy work with her personal life, as in the first season.

I am happy to hear this. I thought season 3 suffered from too much unbelievable and over-the-top spy stuff and not enough of Syd's personal life.
