International inspectors say that they have found "P-2" centrifuge parts in Iran. Iran denies that there are any sophisticated centrifuge parts to be found and that their nuclear program is for peaceful purposes only.
We had absolutely no proof that Iraq had any WMD's or a nuclear program and we invaded and assumed control for our own safety.
If we follow the War President's policy of preemptive strikes against possible terrorist threats, does this mean we are going to invade Iran next week? What criteria must be met before this plan is put into effect?
I am not in favor of such action; I just want to know the reasoning behind the administration's policy. Of the countries that make up the axis of evil, North Korea and Iran have (or seem to have) nuclear capabilities and Iraq did/does not.
Can someone explain the logic of this?
