Howard Dean has ended his campaign for the Democratic nomination. His downward spiral from great heights and expectations was the stuff of political legend. After the infamous Iowa concession screech things took a turn for the worse and he never recovered. As I mentioned in a previous post, I think the whole Iowa speech was a ridiculous news obsession and was unfair and unbecoming of the media. I was never a Dean supporter, but was grateful for the fuel his commitment and energy provided to ignite a fire under the Democratic party's collective ass. I hope that he continues his drive to rehabilitate the party and comes to the aid of the eventual nominee. He certainly deserves a voice at the convention, and I hope he considers another run in the future.
