RIP, Robert Parker
Just heard about Robert Parker's death.
Really loved his Spenser series and the movie made from his western novel, Appaloosa is one of my wife's favorites.
Parker died at his desk, which seems to be a fitting end for any writer.
My sincerest condolences to his family, friends and many, many fans.

Holy shit! Robert B. Parker died! That's... that's...
You know, I only really like about half a dozen of the Spenser novels, and most of what I tried to read by Parker was formulaic crap. But still... boy, that's startling.
Seems like the comment drought is everywhere these days. Exactly what cyber-train did all of us miss at once?
