Greeting Cards Have All Been Sent...

In case anyone was still wondering, I finally got my retro pay 3 weeks after the screw-up. Another employee was shorted 2 days pay and it was even more of a financial hardship for her; she went to the store director and explained that she could make her rent but was without funds for food and gas. Showing a sense of responsibility and depth of concern that is rarely seen, the asshole chided her for allowing such a financial snowball effect to render her helpless and suggested that she seek assistance from one of our local churches. She has since given notice and will hopefully improve her lot. I am still seeking other employment, while I imagine all sorts of job-related injuries that could befall the store director...

I also managed to get the bulk of my Christmas shopping done and all of my cards mailed out. I also want to take a moment to acknowledge the receipt of an exceptionally funny card from Tammy, Darren and the girls...Thanks! My wife wants to know where you got that card, so that she might send some next year.

Since I am unable to send everyone a card due to time, stamps and ignorance of address, I am posting this homemade Christmas video that I created with Windows Movie Maker and sent to the world via the miracle that is YouTube.

Consider yourself Seasonally Greeted!

Heh! Mark, I got the cards at Target. (They had others that were funny, but none that 'moved me' the way those did.) I was running short and wanted to pick up a box and absolutely could NOT pass them by. I am saving one for myself, because it cracks me up. I'm very easily amused. Sorry. (Glad you guys enjoyed it, though!)

Your boss, btw, sounds like a real prince. His company's screw up causes an employee a hardship and his answer is that it's their fault they have to work for a company like that. I'm glad I waited until I was over my stomach virus to read this. Really.

Yes, the man's behavior is unforgivable; that is why I posted his name and the store info... This way if someone googles him; hopefully, they will get a glimpse of the real jerk.
