Maybe I'm just too damn cynical, Mrs. Alito's breakdown (over those mean ol' Senators picking on her man) seemed a bit theatrical.This one tearful moment gets seized on by the media and manages to smear the Democrats with the politics of personal destruction brush, for honestly looking for information regarding the extent of Alito's involvement in the Concerned Alumni Of Princeton organization. I think trying to determine if a Supreme Court nominee could possibly be a bigot and/or misogynist is important.
Actually, when watching the video clip of Mrs. Alito, she starts out quite cheerful and then seems to force herself to cry.
With Mrs. Alito's tearful performance being replayed on all the news channels, the Dems better tread softly.
