Hate The Sin. Kill The Sinner.

It looks like Jimmy Swaggart has made the news, at least in Canada, with a recent TV broadcast. I've seen it mentioned on several blogs (Eschaton and Hairy Fish Nuts to name 2), but i felt the need to shine my little bloglight upon it. These are Jimmy's inspiring words...

"I'm trying to find the correct name for it ... this utter absolute, asinine, idiotic stupidity of men marrying men. ... I've never seen a man in my life I wanted to marry. And I'm gonna be blunt and plain; if one ever looks at me like that, I'm gonna kill him and tell God he died."

Wow. You can almost feel the warm Christian love flowing from that statement.

My first question would be... Why does anyone listen to this festering dick-hickey!?
Can there really be that big of an audience for this kind of shit? Oh, wait, Dumbya's popularity answers that question.

So, Jimmy's gonna kill some offending homosexual and then lie to his lord about it.
That is such a fine Christian plan.

If there ever was a reason to believe in hell, being able to imagine Swaggart sizzling down there is a pretty damn good one.
