It is truly pathetic that Rumsfeld is getting all of this praise for accepting full responsibility for the behavior of those under his command. Of course, this seems rather lacking due to his repeated insistence of his ignorance of the abuses going on during his watch. The apology comes off just as shallow.
Bush made it clear that his job was not on the line; so his performance was just a little show for the public and the politicians. There is no substance to this administration... they put on a show and their fan base lavishes them with sycophantic praise.
