There may well be a very good reason for this. Although, I'm quite sure it will not lessen the anti-American/coalition violence in Iraq one whit.
The irony that the U.S. attempt to bring democracy and freedom to the Iraqi people is being advanced by the shutdown of a dissenting newspaper cannot be lost on anyone.
