James Spader is currently doing some of his best work on ABC's The Practice, and I can't say enough good things about his portrayal of Alan Shore. Shore is an ethically-challenged attorney working with the remaining lawyers of the revamped series. I hope that his performance will earn him an Emmy. The only downside is that, if Spader gets the Emmy, that means that Victor Garber (Alias) won't. Maybe there could be a tie and they could share the honor.
