Estelle Reiner, R.I.P.

I was saddened to hear of the passing of Estelle Reiner. She was the wife of comedy legend, Carl Reiner and mother of Director, Rob Reiner.

She was also the star of one of my all-time favorite movie moments. C'mon, Meg and Billy may have been the stars of the movie; but, Estelle owned this scene.

While being remembered for uttering No. 33 on a list of the Top 100 film quotations (according to The American Film Institute) and her familial ties to comedy stars, she also was an amazing woman with an interesting, full life...

She was a painter and visual artist early in life (she met her husband while designing sets for shows at hotels in the Catskills), and after turning 60 she became a cabaret singer, recording several CDs and performing regularly as late as 2005.

My condolences to her family, friends and fans.
