Quark on DVD!

Here's a DVD set I never though I'd see. Quark: The Complete Series (The pilot and all seven episode!) I loved this very short-lived series and have often wished to see it again. Unfortunately, I fear that seeing it now might ruin the nostalgic glow. Still, I might try to find a copy if money ever comes my way.

Same here. Having seen a few episodes on a bootleg DVD a few years back, I can say that it matched my memories fairly well, and the pleasure of seeing it again outweighed any possible shortcomings. It's really not that different from watching Get Smart or the Adam West Batman after so many years: maybe there will be some bits that don't seem quite as cool as you remember them, but they'll be balanced out by other things you didn't fully appreciate at the time. If anything, with the benefit of hindsight, I could appreciate even more what a sincere effort the show made to do justice to its SF elements, and the acting was a lot of fun.
