
...reach for the Charmin instead. Mr. Whipple has died. I just learned the tragic news from Tammy.
Dick Wilson, aka Mr. Whipple of "Please don't squeeze the Charmin" fame, died Monday at the Motion Picture & Television Hospital in Woodland Hills, California, his daughter announced. He was 91.
He was a member of the beloved trilogy of advertising icons that included Josephine the Plumber (Jane Withers) and Madge the manacurist (Jan Miner). Only Jane Withers remains with us.
Hug a big roll of Charmin tonight as you cry yourself to sleep.
