Crikey! I just heard that Steve Irwin, The Crocodile Hunter, was killed by a stingray while working on the aptly titled new show... Ocean's Deadliest.
While I can't claim myself as a fan of the annoyingly exuberant Australian, it was apparent that he loved his work. In spite of my indifference, I will miss his inarguable charm.
At least he went out doing what he loved. My thoughts go out to his family, friends and fans.
