$weet Charity

It would seem that our tax dollars are going to be used to reimburse many religious groups for their efforts and expenditures in aiding Katrina victims.

I almost commented on this when Dumbya mentioned it in his "Please, love me!" speech, but I thought private donations (such as those raised by his dad and Bill Clinton) were going to be the source of such repayments. It starts making my church/state radar get all tingly when the government starts funding the churches.

If religious organizations are going to be paid for their efforts, why isn't the Red Cross eligible to have it's coffers refilled too? Why not get the names of everyone who donates money to the relief efforts and send them a reimbursement check?

Oh, I know, because charity isn't charity if your getting paid.
