We can at least make plans for next year...

Just wanted to make it known that my always-alert and bestest-friend Arlene Franks emailed me to point out that she and I failed to celebrate/observe National Punctuation Day.

I politely suggest that the National Punctuation people need a better publicity department. I also think that it should be observed on the first 2nd Monday in August each year. It could be the a national holiday; August could certainly use one. Everyone should get the day off to pause and reflect on the importance of proper punctuation. I urge everyone to contact their members of congress. Of course, if we pause, we need to make sure and use a comma.

Happy belated National Punctuation Day!

Let's mark our calendars for next year and start thinking of appropriate ways to celebrate the wonders of punctuation!

I urge all of my readers (Yes, all 5 of you.) not to make the same mistake with Talk Like A Pirate Day which is coming up on September 19th!
