According to a brief note in this week’s Time Magazine and repeated by Newsarama, author Jonathan (Fortress Of Solitude) Lethem will be writing a new series based on the beloved (by me) 70's comic Omega The Unknown.

I was in hopes that Steve Gerber and Mary Skrenes would get another chance to retell the story of the silent hero and the mysterious James-Michael Starling. The new book may be great; but, no matter the quality, I will always wonder what Gerber and Skrenes could have done if given the chance to expand on what they started.
The story also mentions the horrible attempt to resolve the original series in later issues of the Defenders; but the less said about that, the better.
I think I will order Fortress Of Solitude and check out Lethem's talent.
I will also be fervently hoping that I don't regret getting the Omega The Unknown revival that I hoped for.
