ABC has announced the 2 stars of the Night Stalker pilot... Stuart Townsend and Gabrielle Union. The press release offers nothing more than...Townsend will play Kolchak and Union a newspaper colleague who partners with him in his endeavors.
That alone makes me nervous about the whole endeavor. I like Kolchak working alone and being a bit of an outcast. Still, I will keep an open mind.
I can live with Townsend as Carl (although I had hoped for someone less conventionally attractive for the part) and it is kinda funny that The Vampire Lestat will now play the Night Stalker. I would have rather read that Union's character was playing Carl's boss.
