I moved toward the light at the end of the tunnel and found myself trampled by terrified, torch wielding fundamentalists.

I am disheartened and exhausted by the whole ordeal and can better imagine how the innocent people of Afghanistan must have felt as they watched their country fall into the hands of the Taliban.

Being too poor to become an expatriate living in New Zealand, I must struggle to convince myself that something will happen to wrest control of my country from the zealots tirelessly working towards their dream of a god fearing theocracy.

I will write more when I can more adequately control the vitriol.

Just wanted to thank Mike Norton for helping put PA in the Kerry column and for his attempt to lift us up from our current state of mind.
