"The Iconoclast wholeheartedly endorses John Kerry"

The Iconoclast, the weekly newspaper for Crawford, Texas, has endorsed John Kerry for president.

Read their very accurate overview of why Dumbya should go. Here are the highlights...

"Four items trouble us the most about the Bush administration: his initiatives to disable the Social Security system, the deteriorating state of the American economy, a dangerous shift away from the basic freedoms established by our founding fathers, and his continuous mistakes regarding terrorism and Iraq."

If the publisher of the small town newspaper at Dumbya's doorstep can see the obvious need for a change of leadership, it is beyond reasoning that he still is creeping ahead in the polls.

Maybe there is a selfish motive for the endorsement. When Dumbya was elected, the citizens of Crawford were probably happy to see him go; little did they realize that he would spend the majority of his presidency vacationing at the ranch.

Then again, with a name like The Iconoclast, it could be a plot by Pinky and The Brain... create even more partisan division and win the presidency as an independent. Has anyone checked to make sure Nader isn't really a mouse-controlled robot? It would explain a lot.
