TV Conjecture: The 4400

Thanks to the magic of the VCR (Oh, how I long for a TIVO.), I just watched the penultimate episode of The 4400 on the USA Network.

If you haven't had the pleasure of catching the 6-hour miniseries, all is not lost; this Sunday (check local listings), the first 5 hours will be replayed prior to the series finale.

For those of you, like me, that think Deep Space Nine was the best Trek series; this series is like a reunion for the DS9 creative staff. Ira Steven Behr and René Echevarria are among the executive producers/writers and Robert Hewitt Wolfe is a consulting producer/writer for the show. These three are the top reasons for the quality of DS9 and this show reflects the same quality.

I urge you to tune in next Sunday and enjoy. It will also help with the ratings and thus help get it picked up as a regular series.

After the finale, you could also stay tuned and catch a new episode of The Dead Zone. It continues to improve and amaze in its third season. The quality of the show is also a reflection of its creator and executive producer/writer, Michael Piller (with his son, Shawn). Oh yeah, he's another DS9 alumnus.
