I was watching Tim Russert chat with Time and Newsweek reps just now; and they all seemed to think that Bush comes out ahead on the Iraq War issue because of Kerry's insistence that he would still have given Dumbya the authority to go to war, knowing what he knows now. They seemed assured that the nuances and subtleties of Kerry's position are lost in the big picture. If that is true, it paints a poor picture of the electorate.
I think that Kerry should rely on Teddy Roosevelt when fielding this question from now on. When asked about his vote on Iraq, he should say that he voted to give Dumbya a big stick and had hoped that he would speak softly and form a true international coaliton against Saddam. It is time the electorate realizes that these chickenhawks are incapable of true diplomacy and a danger to the world
We needed more big stick diplomacy and less dipstick diplomacy.
Let Chickenhawk Cheney make smarmy comments about Roosevelt's sensitivity.
Just a thought.
