A Win-Win Terror Alert!

Once again, the Department of Homeland Insecurity is gearing up the fear machine to try and ensure the outcome of the election...

A senior administration official said accusations of scaremongering are to be expected. But the official, who has read Ridge's prepared remarks, added, "This is one of those damned if you do and damned if you don'ts, and our default is 'do.'

Of course, they would say that, but how can you explain away comments such as this...

Terrorists' aim is to influence presidential vote, security chief says

What Ridge is saying is that, if there isn't an attack, then the administration has been successful in keeping us all safe from the freedom-hating terrorists...or, if there is an attack, we should keep Dubya in office to spite those same freedom-hating terrorists.

That doesn't sound like a damned if you do/damned if you don't situation for the administration.

I just saw a viewer email on CNN that found it interesting that this urgent but vague terror alert had to be announced within days of Kerry announcing Edwards as his VP choice and getting a bump in the polls. At least some people have a grasp of the manipulations and deceptions of this administration.
