I'm not sure how much of the kid's claims are true, but I am not pleased with the teacher reactions to the threats. The real test of free speech is having to defend EVERYONE's right to use it. If some teen-Limbaugh wants to take aim at the liberal faculty and immigrant situation, the teachers need to support his freedoms while they disagree with him. If his claims are true, then the school and faculty are failing him and themselves. If a homosexual student was advocating allowing gay couples to attend the Prom (if there was a ban), and the Conservative Club was threatening him or intimidating him on school grounds, I would hope the faculty would come to the student's aid/defense.... as they should for teen-Limbaugh. A person with differing opinions should not expect threats; they should expect fiery discourse... threats should be discouraged and addressed by the school.
