Saddam's been caught, the economy is looking better, and the poll numbers are up! The international community still needs some convincing, but Dubya doesn't really give a rat's ass about them...although he would like some troop and/or money for the holidays... and he just might get it. Bush deserves a rowdy round of congrats on a job well done! Democrats are torn between celebrating the good news and cursing Junior's good fortune. The conservative pundits have been droning on and on about the Dems hoping for things to go bad so that there chances in '04 improve. The party that is not in power always hopes for something to use as ammo during an election fight....even Republicans! How utterly moronic to act as if this was some liberal-only trait. The Saddam capture is a good thing and the troops and administration deserve the kudos that they receive. Hopefully, this will turn things around in Iraq. Hopefully, the administration will not do something to f**k this victory up ( note: do not ask Cheney for advice!). My wishes for the New Year is for JOBS and even greater economic improvement; even if it means Dubya is around for another 4 years.
Do I want him around for 4 more years? God Almighty, NO! The Dems need to get to the basics of the contest and not whine about the Dubya's luck. Get to the heart of the matter! The GOP has turned the fear of terrorism into a tool for steamrolling over our civil liberties and the more subtle fear of Islamic fanatics to shove there own religious fanaticism into the limelight. Go with the bitter truth and hope for the best....you are the most feared and maligned thing on Planet GOP! You are a Liberal with TV coverage! The Democratic 9 better use it to there advantage. Oh, and the Democratic voters need to get their heads out of Dean's ass and look around a bit....there are others among the nine (and beyond) that might have something to say that's worth listening to. Don't let Ted Koppel decide who your choice for President will be.
Idah Saidan Wa Sanah Jadidah
Thank You and Good Night.
