This article about Dubya's latest fund-raising dinner for his re-election was nothing new; but the tidbit below got me thinking...
Before Monday's fund-raiser, the president's re-election war chest totaled about $92 million. Monday's event will push the total to about $94 million.
If he was so sure of his war on terror detour to Iraq, he should be having these ass-kissing dinners to raise money to rebuild the country. Let's see if all his well-funded followers really BELIEVE how imperative it was to overthrow Saddam and important it is to rebuild now that we have.
I'm not saying we shouldn't be spending tax dollars to aid in the reconstruction of Iraq; but I would like these conservative elites to put some money where their mouths are. I would like some of Dubya's friends to spend some money on Iraq rather than make it.
